A runaway doggo is every pawrent's worst nightmare, but in this story the nightmare is incredibly short lived. If only more escape stories could end like this.

It is a classic in the canine community. You, the pawrent, leaves a door slightly ajar for a split second. You turn your back and before you know it, the doggo you have spent years doting on and loving has slipped past you and made a grand escape into the wide world. Your heart sinks to its lowest of lows and in a matter of moments you feel yourself getting lightheaded.

But if you happen to be the pawrent from this pawticular story there is a silver lining to this runaway. And that is that this doggo did not decide to go all too far away from home and in fact ended up very quickly coming back to the door from which he left, patiently awaiting his pawrent's return. Now we can spend hours and days discussing how wrong, cheeky and ungrateful this doggo is. But at the end of the day a pupper and pawrent have been reunited and that is more than most can ask for in this life.

A stark reminder that some dogs becomes soul dogs not only because they are kindred spirits with their pawrents. But also because they go through some of the toughest things with their pawrents. Sticking by their side like a shining beacon of pawsitvity when no one else could or would. Bonds like these are so strong that there is very little that can get between them. Which makes the event that is about to take place all the more heartwrenching, because how could a critter that is so close to you run away at the drop of a hat?

Goodness, it is every pawrent’s worst nightmare to accidentally leave a door open and for their pupper to dash through it. After all, doggos, like children, enjoy believing that they are big boys and girls who can handle themselves amongst the hooman world. But unfortunately that overconfidence is often what lands them in hot water. Though considering what is about to come next, we have to wonder if this pawticular doggo’s overconfidence is actually just the right amount of confidence, seeing as he managed to handle himself rather well out there in the hooman world.
